AI Driven Agentic Workflows

Practical Approach to Site Speed, Clean Code & AI

In plain-English breakdown I use regarding website speed, code structure, and how I use AI to eliminate agency bottlenecks.

Behind the Build

1. Page Bloat & Site Speed (The 3-Second Problem)

    • Current Status: A client may feel frustrated that their homepage takes 3 seconds to load. Common problems are builds that rely on heavy page builders and overlapping plugins that stack containers inside containers, creating dozens of nested <div> layers that choke the DOM tree and kill website load speeds.

    • Solution: What I call “trimming the fat.” Instead of piling on more optimization plugins, I replace heavy third-party widgets with lean, custom made modular blocks. Removing unnecessary wrapper layers allows the browser to paint in milliseconds, instantly passing Core Web Vitals.

2. CMS Architecture & Plugin Bloat

    • Current Status: Agencies often lean on dozens of third-party WordPress plugins for niche layouts, which slows load times, introduces maintenance debt, and creates security vulnerabilities.

    • Solution: I use AI directly in my engineering workflow to strip intricate components down to clean, native code. This replaces heavy, risky plugins with lightweight, purpose-built blocks that produce zero structural waste.

3. Bridging Figma, Code & Reusable Assets

    • Current Status: UI handoffs between design and development frequently get bogged down in technical limitations, manual translation, and slow deployment.

    • Solution: I bridge the gap by exporting layout JSON from Figma into an AI-assisted workflow that converts design tokens directly into semantic code. Using cPanel and direct server management, I turn these into a portable, custom widget library the entire team can reuse across client builds (tokens.husef.net).

4. Visual Asset Quality & Image Performance (Photoshop + AI)

    • Current Status: Client assets often arrive unoptimized, poorly framed, or inconsistent in resolution. When oversized images are uploaded directly into a CMS, they crush Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and cause layout shift on mobile.

    • Solution: Using Photoshop alongside modern AI generative fill and retouching tools, I correct lighting, balance color tones, and cleanly extend crops to achieve a pixel-perfect layout. I then compress and convert every asset into modern web formats (such as WebP) with precise dimensioning, ensuring hero graphics look high-end without degrading page speed.

5. Data-Driven UX Strategy (Google NotebookLM)

    • Current Status: UX strategy often gets filled by subjective opinions, endless stakeholder meetings, or dense research docs (analytics, client transcripts, competitor teardowns) taking a lot of time to digest.

    • Solution: I feed raw user discovery data, brand guidelines, and analytics into Google NotebookLM to serve as a grounded source of truth. By eliminating hallucinations and subjective bias, it quickly isolates verified pain points, user behaviors, and content hierarchies. This allows me to design site architectures, page roadmaps, and wireframes rooted in real data rather than guesswork.

6. Client-Friendly CMS Controls (Gutenberg with Elementor Simplicity)

    • Current Status: Custom code can sometimes leave the client locked out, requiring a developer just to change a line of text or swap a photo.

    • Solution: Every custom block I build includes a custom editorial UI. It mimics the familiar Content/Style/Advanced controls of builders like Elementor, allowing non-technical teammates or clients to edit content freely without touching code or calling a developer.

7. Automating Administrative Project Overhead

    • Current Status: Manual time tracking and logging project hours by Monday morning is a tedious administrative sink that drains focus across the entire office.

    • Solution: I built a one-click automation that aggregates my project activity and generates accurate timesheets instantly, saving 1 to 2 hours every week with 100% data precision.

8. AI-Assisted Client Communication

    • Current Status: Writing weekly client status updates (current progress, blockers, next steps) across multiple accounts takes hours of reading notes and combing through emails every Friday.

    • Solution: I created a script that indexes project notes and email threads to draft a structured recap automatically. I review, refine, and send it out in minutes, keeping clients aligned and confident while recovering 1 to 2 hours every Friday.

9. Leadership Visibility & Live Prototyping (app.husef.net)

    • Current Status: Agency leaders lose time chasing down project managers for status updates, and scope risks often aren’t discovered until a deadline is missed.
    • Solution: Using n8n, I connected ClickUp’s API to a custom dashboard interface. You can see a live prototype of this UI logic at (app.husef.net -> clicking the GREEN status pills to see updates of the gauges in real time). This setup feeds project health directly to leadership, while an AI layer flags at-risk milestones early so managers can step in before projects derail. https://husef.net/bridging-disciplines
